The sun is hiding today and the rain in bucketing down so it is the perfect day for creating. Lilli is watching high 5 and dancing around the loungeroom so she will be busy for at least an hour. (i'm hoping) So to finish the folding and my coffee and then I will be heading into my craft room to create up a storm.
On the agenda today is cord pinny's and pants ready for the BrisStyle Indie Twilight Markets Friday 30th April, King George Square, Brisbane City.

One Little, Two Little, Three Little Purses
Purses, I love purses and with a little of my influence so does Lillianna. I made her one and she loves it. It's her favourite accessory. On any given day you can find her purse filled with anything from lipgloss, her waterbottle, her fav baby of the day, a snack of some kind, buttons and the list could go on and on.

Sunday Afternoon Recipe..
Yesterday was such a lovely day, I just plotted around cleaning, creating, baking and spending some quality time with my little girl while her big brother was out playing with the neighbours.
We decided to bake some yummy lamingtons to have after our homemade chippies. They were just beautiful enjoyed under the patio with a nice cup of tea. I thought i'd share the recipe with you so you too could enjoy them.
Lamingtons.
First your will need to make a simple cake recipe. I used this buttercake one:
Butter Cake
125g Butter, Softened
1 Teas Vanilla Extract
3/4 Cup Caster Sugar
2 Eggs
1 1/2 Cups Self-raising flour
1/2 Cup Milk
Chocolate Icing
2 Cups Icing Sugar Mix
1/3 Cup Cocoa Powder
1/4 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Boiling Water
2 Cups Coconut
Preheat oven to moderate. Grease and line pan. (I used a rectangle tray with sides of about 2cms.
Beat butter, extract and sugar in small bowl with electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, until combined.
Stir in sifted flour and milk slowly to combine.
Pour into prepared tray and bake in moderate oven until cake is cooked.
Once cooked turn onto a wired rack to cool.
Once cooled trimmed the edges of the cake and cut into 15 pieces.
Spread the coconut over a plate.
To make icing sift icing sugar and cocoa into a bowl. Add the milk and water and stir until smooth. Using a fork dip the cake pieces in the icing and then roll in the coconut to coat. Set on a wired rack with a tray underneath and leave to set of approx 2 hours.
Enjoy...

Just thought i'd pop in for a minute or two and share a picture of a new item I created. Lilli has claimed this particular one as her own so I am in the process of making more in different colours and designs.

Easter, A time to spend with loved ones.
Its been a while since my last post, I did intend to post more regularly but with a toddler at home that really hasn't worked in my favour. I have been busy making dresses and pants for the first BrisStyle Twilight Markets on April 30 in King George Square Brisbane and the first BrisStyle Mother and Child market at Hamilton. Its all very exciting.
Well today was spent at the beach with my husband and children. I was great to relax and enjoy so time out. We swam, and walked while the children rode their bikes (Lilli was riding and steering all by herself, she is growing up so fast) and scooters, and then they explored the playground climbing gym and all. It's times like these you sit back and realise just how lucky you are to have such a wonderful family.
The children are so excited about the easter bunny coming tonight, they have written a letter and left a carrot out for him. Lets just hope they fall asleep some time soon so he can come before he too falls asleep. Tomorrow we are heading out to my aunties property for lunch with the family. I love seeing them all, especially since we moved. It really feels special to spend quality time with them. Nathan and I have been busy this afternoon preparing our vegetable pie and chocolate cup cakes to take along to share.
I hope your easter is perfect spent with people you love.
